The only complaint about the mill is that if you need to raise the head to clear a work piece you then have to realign it to the table, just go on you tube and there are videos on how to do it quickly but still not as fast as a dovetail machine. All in all I am over the moon with this mill and I would definitely recommend for any home gamer.

Irregardless of how precise it is or how heavy a cut you can take with it, for a C-note it would be a good buy. Especially a c-note for a bench top vertical mill. If you hate it, you could still flip it for a good profit. I39;m sure there is at least 100 hobby machinists out there that would kill for it! Just my .02 worth Frank

It39;s not my main mill, so not a priority to date. I39;ve had an import vertical mini-mill and the Atlas is light years ahead, despite the issues of mine and even though it39;s many years older, there is little comparison. You can also get some neat old machines from Burke, Delta/Rockwell, Clausing, and likely many others with which I39;m not familiar.
